What’s New#

Below is a list of all Air Navigation Pro versions and their specific updates and new features.

XTE & Planned Altitude: Introducing new values to the Navigation Bar
Vertical Navigation Planning: A new label displays the planned altitude for each leg in the Profile View

Better Avionics Support: Wireless route and live location exchange between Air Navigation Pro and your onboard Dynon and Avidyne systems. See Avionics connection.
Enhanced Search Bar: Search results are separated into categories and organized by distance from your location. Additionally, the new What3Words search feature lets you find locations using three unique words—perfect for quick oral location-sharing, especially for rescue services! UK postal code support and more coordinate formats accepted. Read more here.
Enhanced Routes Menu: Better organisation with a new Routes History section and the My saved routes folder. Quickly save routes with the star icon to be automatically synced across devices with your Air Navigation account.
Vertical Navigation Planning: Easily set Cruise altitude or let the app recommend the fastest altitude based on current winds.
New Weather Layer: Get real-time weather updates with Webcams displayed directly on the map
Improved Airspaces Display: Following aeronautical chart design standards, a label now displays the floor and ceiling for airspaces. Additionally, CTR and natural reserve airspaces appear shaded on the map if you toggle this feature on in Map Options > Airspaces.

Decluttered Horizon: Enjoy a cleaner Synthetic View with only nearby and relevant waypoints displayed for your route.
Colored Obstacles: Enhanced awareness with Obstacles color-coded based on altitude differences.
Customizable TAWS: Set your own altitude thresholds for the Terrain awareness (TAWS).
New Automatic Recenter: The moving map will automatically recenter to your GPS location after 10 seconds of inactivity.
Other Improvements: A new field on the Navigation Bar showing the number of landings; more separation between the Landing and the Touch & Go buttons for better usability during flight; and a new, simpler Wind Barb Design!
Manager Service Upgrade: Operators using our Manager service will benefit from the latest settings synchronization feature.

Introducing Synthetic View: Our 3D View has received an upgrade with an improved UI and an integrated Moving Map preview!
New Map Visibility Settings: Take control of overlapping maps by setting custom zoom level ranges, ensuring smooth transitions while zooming in and out.
Enhanced Satellite Imagery: Smart Advanced subscribers now enjoy high-quality Satellite views at higher zoom levels, while all other Smart plans gain access to regional topographical and satellite tile servers like Swisstopo, IGN, etc. Visit the Store to activate them for free!

Expanded Cross-Platform Reach: Our app is now accessible on Huawei!
Manager Service Upgrades: Operators using our Manager service will benefit from improvements introduced in the latest Manager 5.0 release.
Visual Improvements: SmartChart’s dark mode has been optimized for enhanced usability during night flights. Airspace border colors have been adjusted for better consistency with aviation standards and improved contrast in all Color Theme modes
Bug Fixes: Bugs have been addressed for improved reliability.

Map Annotations: Now, you can highlight, draw geometrical figures and write with a marker directly on the map, allowing you to create your own data like user airspaces. Activate it on Map Options > Guides and work in Edit Mode. Read more here.
Enhanced Map Resolution: We’ve boosted the resolution of the vector map at high zoom levels, ensuring a clearer navigation experience.
Improved Dark Mode Handling: Switch effortlessly between Light, Dark or let the app adapt automatically with our new Color Theme menu on Map Options.
Seamless Cross-Platform Synchronization: We are live on Windows! Enjoy a smooth experience between your mobile device and the new desktop version!

New Compass Lock: Lock the movement of the map by long-pressing on the Compass Rose.
Get ready for more! In preparation for the release of Air Navigation Pro on a new platform, we have fixed bugs and improved the overall performance of the application.

Simplified Subscription Offer: Our subscription model has been simplified and improved! Choose now between three Subscription plans that include everything you need to fly worldwide. Traffic information via Internet is now available in all new Smart plans thanks to our partnership with SafeSky.
Improved Traffic Display: Choose among three different icon styles. On top of that you can enable now visual and audio warnings.
28 days free trial: We have extended the app test period!
Bug fixes and other improvements

Improved Elevation Profile: More information and functionalities on the Profile View.
NEW Wind Barbs displayed directly on the map and on the Profile View.
Improved NOTAM Display: Major refactor of NOTAM handling! Now NOTAM are searchable and dynamic airspaces like restricted areas activated by NOTAM change color based on their status.
Traffic Patterns are now displayed on the map for selected countries. More to come soon!
SmartChart goes green: Our vector map got improved to display worldwide forests, build-up areas, glaciers and more!

New and Improved NavBar: Fully customize your Navigation Bar according to your needs!
Manager Service Upgrade: Improved Air Navigation Manager synchronization

Trend Line for Turns: When turning, now a new dashed line indicates your turning trend.
Improved Product Management: Approach charts can now be installed On demand to download only those relevant to your planned route, saving storage on your device. Read more here.
New Route Leg Instruction Window: From your Navigation Dashboard, tap on any waypoint to open this new pop-up window allowing you to easily add intermediate landing instructions or SAR Pattern, as well as set a planned altitude. Additionally, while flying, you can use this window to define the Actual Time Over and Actual Fuel On Board for a more precised Post Navigation log document.
Aircraft Profile: A new field allows you to input the fuel flow for taxi, cruise and best endurance, as well as fuel consumption for cold and hot starts.
More Customization Options for User Waypoints: Now you can add custom symbols, tags and colors to your user waypoints and easily filter by them.
Improved ScratchPad Tool: Add user-customizable labels and grids to your ScratchPad!
